Dear Grade 5'ers,
We are now back into the swing of things and into the home stretch toward the end of academic year 2013-2014.
Don't rest now though, we still have a LOT to do between now and then.

Student Led Conferences
Student Led Conferences were a great success. The students all held themselves very confidently and presented their information well. It is clear in my mind that the students have all made great progress since the start of the year, or when they joined QISS. It was great to see them showing off their work proudly and demonstrating things they have learned throughout the year.
Thank you to all of the parents who attended. Thanks also for the completed feedback forms. The students will continue to work on their portfolios for the rest of the year.

New Student
Yet again we have been lucky to have ANOTHER new student join us. The newest recruit to the awesome grade 5 gang is Erika Kim. Erika is Korean, and has lived in Qingdao for 6 years. She previously attended KISQ (Korean International School of Qingdao). With the addition of Erika, and Maelle before the May holiday, our class now has a total of 10 students. What a great number!
Birds-Eye View of QISS
I took a hike to the hill above our school during the break. It is quite an easy hike and the view from the top is rewarding. You also get a great bird's-eye view of QISS.
